B.S. in Elementary Education, minor in History

I taught in Austin, Texas for 5 years at Eanes Elementary, before coming to New Braunfels. Before becoming the art teacher,I have taught Pre-first grade, 1^st grade, 3^rd grade and 5^th grade here at Comal Elementary.

Other Trainings:

I am trained and certified in gifted and talented and reading literacy.

Teaching Philosophy: Let students know how much you care about them and they will be more successful. Teamwork is important to the success of all students. Art is for everyone. It surrounds us and brings us joy. Art enhances and improves our other academics.

Personal Interests/Hobbies: reading, writing children's books, painting, sculpture (anything related to the arts), swimming, boating, spending time with my family and friends.

Family Info (optional): I have been married to Thad Cleckler for 20 plus incredible years. We have 2 sons: Reed who is currently in college and Ross who is attending Canyon High School.
