I can truly say that my experiences at Comal Elementary have convinced me that this is “The Best School on the Planet”! The students, parents, staff, and community help make Comal Elementary an awesome place for students to learn. I have never been in a school that exhibits more energy and a greater desire to strive for excellence. I feel very blessed to be a part of such a wonderful family.

I received my teaching certification and undergraduate degree from Texas A & M in 1984. My masters degree as a Reading Specialist was completed in 1988 at Sam Houston State University. I obtained Principal Certification in 2003 through the program at Texas State University. During my twenty years, I have taught second grade through sixth grade. I was a Reading Recovery teacher and worked extensively with kindergarten and first grade students on literacy development. This is my fifth year as an administrator.

My husband and I have two boys. We moved to New Braunfels in 1989. We love this community and strive to do our part to be a positive influence. The most important aspect of my job is to provide support for the staff and parents/guardians that work with our students. If you ever have comments, concerns, or need information, I am available.
