Years @ CES:    This is my first official year at CES, although I did my student teaching here 3 years ago with Mrs. Whitman and Mrs. Gerdes.  I am very excited to be back!

Degrees:  BA in Interdisciplinary Studies with an emphasis on Early Childhood

Teaching Philosophy: I believe that all students have the ability to learn and succeed in a place where they are valued and feel safe.  It is my goal as a teacher to provide this positive learning environment for my students.  I also believe that people, especially children, learn by doing.  So, in my classroom we are always busy and many times making or manipulating something to help us learn.  My students and their learning are very important to me.

 

 

 

 

Personal Interests/Hobbies: I love to spend time with my family and friends.  The zoo is one of my favorite places to visit with my husband, Joe, and daughter, Emily, who will turn one year old in October.  Most Sunday mornings you will find me at church.  I also enjoy writing, reading, bargain shopping, and listening to music.  Although I have not been lately, camping is one of my favorite weekend journeys.
