Rebecca Creek Elementary

“Treat people as if they were what they ought to be and you help them to become what they are capable of being.” Goethe

Hello!!  I am Cindy Slye. This is my twenty–second year to teach, and I believe teaching is a wonderful privilege. I graduated from Lamar University, Beaumont, TX. This year I am the Math Campus Intervention Teacher. I taught kinder for three years, second grade for one year, sixth grade reading for four years and third grade for eight years.  I was an instructional technology specialist for four years and a librarian for two years. My husband, Jerry, is a minister and we moved here to begin a new Bethel Methodist Church.

I have two  daughters and two  son-in-laws. My oldest daughter, Jennifer, has two children, Erik and Kendall.  Erik is 12 years old and Kendall will be four in January.  My youngest daughter, Valorie, has a little girl , Madeline.  Madeline will be two in November.

I am here for you and your child.  If you have any suggestions, questions or concerns please feel free to email me.  Thanks again for visiting this site.
