I'm a mom!  I have had many years of on the job training.  I have completed many hours of educational workshops and seminars.

Teaching Philosophy: Education is all about hands.  A child places their trust and future in my hands.  My hands as a teacher are to be used to lift up a child by providing them a safe, secure place to learn and grow.  My hands should build an environment where a child feels free to take risks educationally and personally; knowing that there are two hands to catch them if they slip.  My goal as a teacher is to encourage and assist the children that are placed in my hands into becoming vibrant, productive members of their community.  Children should be able to hear the encouraging sound of this teacher's clapping hands in the background while they are engaged in hands-on activities in a classroom where my hands have provided them with a safe place to learn as they strive to reach new levels of understanding and knowledge.  After all, education is all in the hands.

Personal Interests/Hobbies: Anywhere there is sunshine and water, I'm there!  I love spending time doing anything that involves my children.  Cheerleading competitions have become a weekend ritual!

Family Info (optional): I have two children that are the JOY of my life.  My son is starting his freshman year at The University of Texas at Austin.  My daughter is a 7th grader at Spring Branch Middle School.
