Welcome to the 2008-2009 school year! My name is Tanya Wainner, the school counselor.

As a counselor at RBES, I have many roles. I facilitate guidance lessons, conduct counseling groups and individual counseling, and I serve as the testing coordinator. I also serve in a support capacity assisting the faculty, staff, and administration.

For individual or group counseling, a student may be referred to me by their parent(s), a faculty/staff member, or they can even refer themselves. I always require a permission slip from the parents or guardians of students who are referred for groups and when a student wants to see me for individual counseling

As the campus test coordinator, I facilitate all of our curriculum based assessments, TAKS tests and other standardized measures. If you have any questions about upcoming assessments in Comal, please click on the testing calendar link .

I have included a link to the Communities in Schools (CIS) webpage if you need additional support or know anyone who does. The CIS counselor and I work together to ensure each child and their families get the support they need.

There are several upcoming events/activities for the Fall semester. I will post the activity and dates below. Keep checking my webpage for activity/events and schedule changes.
